Review Details The new Alienware M14x is a portable Laptop targeted towards the gaming enthusiasts and offers a power packed performance. It is a 14 inch laptop with a widescreen and offers a great gaming experience.   Design and Build:    It is stylish laptop with a 14 inch screen, magnesium alloy and has a slightly curved spine. It supports an 8 cell battery and weighs about 3 Kgs making it a little heavier than other 14 inch laptops. The weight is because of the amazing hardware installed.    It looks similar to the iMac with a screen that spans from edge to edge and supports amazing hardware and heat vents along the edge of the laptop.    Features:    It has a 14-inch widescreen WLED display screen with 1600x900 pixel resolution display and 16:9 aspect ratio screen. It is a vibrant and bright display screen and allows the user to play high resolution games. It also supports as a tiny webcam hole at the top bezel which is great for video chats over Skype, Facebook or Google+.    It supports the Alien Command Center software which helps you customize the gaming laptop’s glowing LED lights.   The Alienware M14x laptop sports a powerful Intel Core i7-2720QM 2.2 GHz processor, with 6 GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard drive and 1.5 GB Nvidia GeForce GT555M graphics.    It supports three USB ports, a VGA and HDMI port, 9-in-1 card reader, gigabit Ethernet, headphone and mic for connectivity, apart from Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth for wireless communication and Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.      Performance:    It scored on the PC Mark Vantage a 9,181 and on the 3D Mark 2006 12,556, making it one of the highest scorer among laptops we’ve tested till date.    The high-powered Core i7 processor, RAM, hard drive and Nvidia graphics all contribute to make the laptop an ultimate for gaming.
