Parker is a 2013 American crime thriller film directed by Taylor Hackford. Starring Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez, the film is adapted from Flashfire, the 19th Parker novel, written by Donald Westlake under the name Richard Stark.[4] Primarily set in Palm Beach, Florida, the film revolves around professional thief Parker (Statham), who is double-crossed by his crew. He sets out for revenge on them, travelling to Palm Beach, where he enlists the help of insider Leslie (Lopez), who assists him in a quest to steal what his former crew, headed by a man named Melander (Michael Chiklis), rob in their jewelry auction heist. As the story develops, Leslie falls for Parker, who remains faithful to his longtime girlfriend Claire (Emma Booth).
Parker marked a departure in Hackford's career, as he had hoped to make it his first film noir. The film was conceived following Westlake's 2008 death, when his wife and producer Les Alexander acquired and secured the rights to it. Filming in Palm Beach attracted a significant amount of local media attention, and was said to have increased the area's holiday interest.[5] Additionally, Parker's filming in New Orleans helped its local film industry.[6] It premiered in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 24, 2013, and was released in the United States on January 25. Reviews have been generally mixed[7] with film critics finding Statham appropriate and well-fitted for the role of Parker and praising the work of Lopez as providing comedic relief. However, others have gone on to call Parker a generic Statham film which begins promisingly but ends predictably.

This Is 40 is a 2012 American spin-off comedy film written, co-produced and directed by Judd Apatow. It is a standalone sequel to the 2007 film Knocked Up and stars Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann. Filming was conducted in mid-2011, and the film was released in North America on December 21, 2012. The film continues to follow the lives of middle-aged married couple Pete and Debbie, as they both deal with turning 40, with each of their jobs and their children Sadie and Charlotte adding stress to their relationship.
This Is 40 received generally mixed reviews from critics who praised its acting, and cast, as well as the film's very comedic moments and perceptive scenes, but criticized the film's overlong running time and occasional aimlessness.

The Shฤngxiร o (Chinese: ็่), also known in English as the Chinese Zodiac, is a scheme, and a systematic plan of future action, that relates each year to an animal and its reputed attributes, according to a 12-year cycle. It has wide currency in several East Asian countries, such as China, Vietnam, Korea and Japan.
Identifying this scheme using the term "zodiac" reflects several similarities to the Western zodiac: both have time cycles divided into 12 parts, each labels at least the majority of those parts with names of animals, and each is widely associated with a culture of attributing influence of a person's relationship to the cycle upon their personality and/or events in their life. Nevertheless, there are major differences: the "Chinese" 12-part cycle corresponds to years rather than months. The Chinese zodiac is represented by 12 animals, whereas some of the signs in the Western zodiac are not animals, despite the implication of the Greek etymology of "zodiac". The animals of the Chinese zodiac are not associated with constellations, let alone those spanned by the ecliptic plane.

Skyfall is the twenty-third James Bond film produced by Eon Productions. It was distributed by MGM and Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2012.[2] It features Daniel Craig's third performance as James Bond, and Javier Bardem as Raoul Silva, the film's antagonist. The film was directed by Sam Mendes and written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan.
The film centres on Bond investigating an attack on MI6; the attack is part of a plot by former MI6 operative Raoul Silva to humiliate, discredit and kill M as revenge against her for betraying him. The film sees the return of two recurring characters to the series after an absence of two films: Q, played by Ben Whishaw, and Eve Moneypenny, played by Naomie Harris. Skyfall is the last film of the series forJudi Dench, who played M, a role that she had played in the previous six films. The position is subsequently filled by Ralph Fiennes' character, Gareth Mallory.
Mendes was approached to direct the film after the release of Quantum of Solace in 2008. Development was suspended when MGM encountered financial troubles and did not resume until December 2010; during this time, Mendes remained attached to the project as a consultant. The original screenwriter, Peter Morgan, left the project during the suspension. When production resumed, Logan, Purvis, and Wade continued writing what became the final version of the script. Filming began in November 2011 and primarily took place in the United Kingdom, China and Turkey.

Gangster Squad is a 2013 American action crime film directed by Ruben Fleischer,[5] from a screenplay written by Will Beall. It starred an ensemble cast that included Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Nick Nolte, Emma Stone, Sean Penn, Michael Peรฑa, and Giovanni Ribisi.
The film is loosely based on the story of Los Angeles Police Department officers and detectives forming a group called the "Gangster Squad unit" who attempt to keep the city safe from Mickey Cohen and his gang during the 1940s and '50s. It was originally set to be released September 7, 2012,[6] but in the wake of the 2012 Aurora shooting, the film was bumped to a January 11, 2013 release date byWarner Bros. Pictures.[1]

By accepting the disreputable, romantic, fey and adventurous side of his nature and applying his wits and common sense, Bilbo gains a new level of maturity, competence and wisdom.[3] The story reaches its climax in the Battle of Five Armies, where many of the characters and creatures from earlier chapters re-emerge to engage in conflict.

Prior to the beginning of Revelation's filming, Bassett expressed his openness to fans' suggestions of actresses for Heather's role. On an estimated $20 million budget, filming lasted from March to May 2011 in Canada, with the 3D RED Epic camera used for the process;audio mixing took place in France. Revelation has grossed $50,622,655 as of January 10, 2013,[6][7] and has received mainly negative reviews by film critics.
